and is an easy 2hr drive from Adelaide.

The drive is via Pt. Wakefield , then along the Coast Road through Ardrossan, giving views of the ocean & Gulf St. Vincent.
The Adelaide skyline lights are visible at night, as are the Mt. Lofty Ranges during the day….making it a very relaxing drive anytime.

There is a substantial memorial to Capt. Harry Butler, a local wartime flyer & his Bristol monoplane.
He crash landed on the town’s outskirts while on a mail run.

There is a local airfield that allows for St. John & RFDS. evacuation flights to Adelaide, as well as private aircraft flights.
There are hospitals at Yorketown ( 30Km…20min) , and Maitland(46KM...30min).
Minlaton has a St John facility, a Medical Centre, & Doctor’s services.
